Altura was born out of a spirit of adventure that remains the personal and professional ethos of our management team.
Francois Taljaard
Francios has been involved with mortgage broking since 1996, having started out with John Charcol Mortgage Experts, where he spent ten years working with the brand and delivering several high-level projects, such as the first online mortgage broking proposition. After the 2009 credit crunch, Francois was a co-founder of Coreco and later set up Coreco Specialist Finance as a separate entity to deal specifically with clients looking for expert help.
Currently a director of Altura Specialist Finance, Francois is an MBA qualified Financial Services professional with expert knowledge of the UK mortgage market.
Guy Nyirenda
Guy has been in financial services for over 20 years and has worked with several large London mortgage brokerages.
His appetite for learning and expanding his experience has led to several industry award nominations, culminating in winning the prestigious British Mortgage Awards – Best BTL Broker a couple of years ago.
He moved over to Altura in 2022 to set up and manage their Commercial and Specialist lending business as well as support the main business lending activities.
